Responsible gambling
BetTrack is a sports bet tracking and analytics app. It helps you see clearly what you spend and what you really get back. It does not let you place bets, contains no links to gambling operators and is not a tipping service.
What BetTrack does, and does not do
- BetTrack records bets you have already placed (manual entry or import from a screenshot of a slip) and computes your statistics: net results, spending, hit rate, trends.
- BetTrack makes no promise of winnings and does not increase your chances of winning. The analyses describe your history; they predict nothing and are not advice.
- Sports betting carries real financial risk. You can lose the money you stake, and no method or tool changes that.
Features that help you stay in control
- Bankroll tracking: you set a starting balance and see how it really evolves bet after bet.
- Dashboard by period (1 day, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, all time): net results, spending and hit rate, with no sugar-coating.
- Full history: every bet with its amount, odds and outcome, losses included.
- Import from a screenshot: record a bet in seconds, so losing bets get counted like all the others.
- Discipline reminders in the analyses: after a winning or a losing streak, the app prompts you not to raise your amounts.
- Data export (CSV, Excel, Pro subscription) to take stock outside the app.
The risks
Gambling, sports betting included, carries real risks: financial (losses, debt), social (isolation, conflict with the people close to you, trouble at work) and health-related (addiction, anxiety, sleep problems). They can affect anyone, whatever the amount you started with.
BetTrack does not let you place bets, makes no promise of winnings and does not increase your chances of winning. The app shows you what your bets really cost you; it does not make betting any less risky.
Assess your gambling
Free, anonymous self-assessment questionnaires let you take stock of your gambling in a few minutes. The test "Où en êtes-vous avec les jeux d'argent ?" on Evalujeu, the prevention website of the French gambling authority (ANJ), is one of them (in French):
Joueurs Info Service also describes the signs that gambling is becoming a problem (in French): Est-ce que j'ai un problème de jeu ?
Some warning signs:
- You stake more than you planned, or money meant for something else.
- You bet again to recover a loss.
- You hide your bets or your losses from the people close to you, or lie about them.
- You borrow money to keep betting.
- You think about betting all the time, and going without makes you irritable.
If one or more of these sound familiar, talk about it: help is available.
Getting help: treatment options
Gambling addiction can be treated. Several kinds of support exist, often free and confidential, and they can be combined:
- Remote listening and advice, by phone or chat, for a first conversation without going anywhere.
- Specialised addiction consultations, in a treatment centre or a hospital, to assess the situation with a professional and set up follow-up care.
- Psychological support, such as cognitive behavioural therapy, which works on the habits and beliefs tied to gambling.
- Support groups, to talk with other people who are going, or have been, through the same thing.
This is general information only: a healthcare professional is the right person to guide you towards what suits you.
Where to find help in France
Gambling involves risks: debt, isolation, addiction. For help in France, call 09 74 75 13 13 (standard-rate call).
Joueurs Info Service is the French public helpline for gamblers and the people around them: anonymous, confidential listening, information and guidance. It answers 7 days a week, from 8 am to 11 pm, on 09 74 75 13 13 (standard-rate call), by chat and on its forums (in French).
Addiction treatment centres (CSAPA): these centres see gamblers and their relatives free of charge, and anonymously if you prefer. There is at least one in every French département. The Joueurs Info Service directory helps you find one near you: Adresses utiles.
You can also talk to your doctor, who can refer you.
Voluntary self-exclusion
Any adult can ask the French gambling authority (Autorité nationale des jeux, ANJ) to be barred from gambling. The procedure is free and confidential. It blocks access to licensed betting and gambling websites in France, to casinos and gaming clubs, and to FDJ and PMU games played with an account, for a minimum of three years.
Request self-exclusion on the ANJ portal
Adults only
BetTrack is for adults only (18+). Sports betting is illegal for minors.
